Let's Collage On Packaging & Make Some Tags

Welcome to my blog, thank you for joining me today 😀

I am playing with my scraps today & some packaging. I have had this stamp set package for about 7 years, I have been meaning to do something with it ever since, well batter later than never!  I think back then I would not have made something so nice so maybe it is a good thing I waited. I have been keeping the scraps from my recent projects so I had some great ones to pick from. 

I loved the ledger print on the stamp pack so wanted that to be the back of the tags. I collaged on the other side. The scraps I pulled out were dominated by one of my favourite kits, Dark Compendium by Tracie Fox. I think the tag I made would go very well in the Case Notes journal I am yet to properly start. I have left the other 2 tags undecorated so I can match them to the journal they are going in.

Let's Use Paper Napkins In Our Junk Journals #JJ4Eweeklychallenge

Welcome to my blog, thank you for joining me today 😀

This week it is my turn to set the weekly challenge in the Facebook group Junk Journaling For Everyone so I am encouraging you to use your paper napkins.I really love using napkins in my journals, they add such lovely images and gorgeous texture. I have used one napkin on some piano roll to create an interesting page in a journal I am currently working on. A very easy way to give both sides of the page added interest. 

With another napkin I am adhering it to some thick tissue, it is a bit like dress making pattern tissue, I found a roll of it in my local charity shop. I really love the feel of the result. I made 2 envelopes, one with the envelope punch board and one simply by folding and cutting. I also made 2 journalling card and a tag as well as a faux envelope with a journalling spot.

Let's Upcycle A Scrap Box

Welcome to my blog, thank you for joining me today 😀

At the weekend I was offered this box from my Father-In-Law,  I of course said YES!  I love the magnetic closure and knew straight away that it would be a good box for scraps. I had a lovely shoe box but was finding the closure on it was not that easy to use but this would be perfect.  I have been doing a major overhaul in my craft room and one of the things I have been doing is trying to keep my stash under control. SO my idea is to have this box for scraps and only this box. If it is full then before I add more I need to make space for it so I either get rid of something or use something or use the new things straight away.
