Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator
Welcome to my blog, thank you for joining me today 😀
Today I am bringing you a project inspired by Wendy Townsend. I watched her video on making a double book page pocket flippy folio and decided to make one myself. As I often do I watch, I make, I forget half of it but carry on anyway, I check the original video and realise I made it completely different! 😆
But none the less I was inspired by her video! I do intend to have a go at making the actual project she made!
I really enjoyed making this so had to make another and video it. I make the video in 2 parts. The fist part is constructing the trifold journal inset and the second part is making and decorating the tags and pockets.
Measurements and Materials
- I used a large book page with full length illustration of a herb
- With the page in Landscape
- I folded it in 3 and made the top fold slightly narrower than the other 2 so that I could add a tab to it
- I folded up the the bottom 2" (aprox) of the page to form pockets
- I added pockets so that each side of the sections has a pocket
- I stamped and distressed with ink and sewed round the whole page
- I made 6 tags using another page and half of the book pages
- I used the Very Best Trip punch from Stampin' Up! to make the tag tops
- I used various Stampin' Up! stamp sets to vintage up the page and the tags
- I kept the images in the page as I thought they looked good
- I added vintage music paper, dyed cheese cloth, tickets, butterflies and a word prompt to each tag and similar to the pockets
- The final touch was an eyelet and charm to the tab
Now watch the video tutorial to see how this was made :-)
