I am excited to be starting a new series over on my YouTube channel today. It is a junk journal series for beginners. I am starting with the junk! I gather together some of my favourite junk items and talk through how I use them. I also put together the beginnings of a journal so you can see how easy and quick it can be.
I have read many people's remarks in various Junk Journal groups on Facebook who say 'how do you start?' My response is, just start! In my video I show how easy it is to gather some things and create a signature, this is the folded sheets that form the pages of the book/journal. If it doesn't turn out how you like it then what have you wasted, not a lot, it cost practically nothing and you will have had fun creating it and you will have learned from your mistakes so you can do it more like you wanted it to be next time.
The thing I love about this style of crafting it that there are no rules and you can do what you want, the way you want it. I like to call it 'rip and stick'! I hope by following this series you will feel more confident about starting a journal. Be warned though it can be addictive and you will find yourself unable to throw anything away! 😂
