Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator
Thank you for visiting my blog, I really do appreciate it. Yesterday on our Facebook group Come Crafting With Jill & Gez, Jill & I we did our monthly live crafting session. We do this on the first Saturday of the month. We set a monthly challenge and this is drawn in the live and we send a small prize to the winner. Why not join us next time.
This month the theme was Neutrals. This is my favourite colour family but not Jill's! i was really interested in seeing what she came up with. Her cards are just stunning so do remember to check it out. I have made a notebook from scratch for you. You could also cover a pre-made notebook but what is the fun in that?! I love making little books myself.
We had loads of technical difficulties with this live and thankfully everyone stuck with us despite have to re start about 4 times! There seems to be a few changes and one is that the second person joining cannot turn their camera. So my crafting is in the mirror image! Makes for interesting viewing!

Measurements and Materials
- I used an old A4 narrow lined exercise book with no margin
- You could use different paper to start with or even plain copier paper
- I removed the staples from the book to give me large folded sheets
- This would not be necessary if your paper pad is not in book form or using copier paper
- I cut the fold section off the pages all together
- This gave me the seperate sheets - I used 3 double sheets
- I trimmed the length to 11"
- I then cut @ 5 1/2" on the long side
- This gave me 12 sheets but I only used 10 sheets
- This I felt was the optimum size of notebook
- This gives 40 sheets back and front or 20 pages
- I grouped the pages together and trimmed off the overhang with my craft knife and ruler
- This made the pages 4" wide
- For the cover I used Early Espresso cardstock
- 8 1/4" x 5 5/8"
- Score on the long side @ 4 1/16" & 4 3/16"
- This gives a very small spine to the notebook
- I used a long arm stapler to attach the pages to the book
- They could easily be sewn in as well using the 3 hole pamphlet stitch which I have demonstrated many times in my Junk Journal videos
- To decorate the cover I used the Blackberry beauty DSP on the front and a sheet of Gray Granite from the 6" x 6" DSP pack
- 3 7/8" x 5 7/16"
- To finish off I stamped 'Don't Forget" on some Gray Granite 1/2" wide
- Just a note would have been better but I didnlt have a current stamp set with that on it!
- I used the Treasured Tag Pick A Punch to punch the ends
- I layered this on 3/4" strip of Gold foil also punched with thsi punch
- I layered this onto Early Espresso
- I stuck the plain Gray Granite on the back cover
- To finish off each page was stamped with the flower from Dragonfly Garden with Early Espresso
Now watch the video tutorial to see how this was made :-)
