Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator
Thank you for visiting my blog, I really do appreciate it. Today I am hopping with the Technique Tuesday blog hop and the theme is DSP. SO I have got a scrap buster idea for you. I used my scraps to create a collage sheet and then cut it up to make 6 tags. Could also have used them on cards but I wanted tags for a Christmas journal.
Measurements and Materials
- I used a standard sheet of Basic White card stock as the base of the tags
- I made all my scraps into rectangles or squares
- I prefer the collage/master board to have straight edges but they can be torn
- Once they are all stuck down, which is done very randomly without much thought, I stamped stitching all over to give the impression of a patchwork quilt
- I then cut the sheet up
- I start with a cut @ 2" on the short side
- This give a long strip that I cut in half to form 2 tags 2" x 5 7/8"
- These can then be inserted into the Tag Topper punch and 2 tags are formed
- Then I cut the remainder card into 4 equal rectangles 2 7/8" x 6 1/4"
- If your starting card stock is a different size you will have different size tags
- I then when round the edges with the stick stamp both back and front of the tags
- I cut slants in the top of the 4 big tags to look like tags
- Holes were punched and ribbon added
- Each tag was decorated with die cuts, stamps, more DSP scraps and sentiments
- I am so pleased with how they turned out
- I intend to use them in a Christmas Journal - so nice to not be vintage for a change!
