Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator
Thank you for visiting my blog, I really do appreciate it. Today I am hoping with the Share It Sunday Blog Hop and. am giving you a preview of a video tutorial that is coming up this Wednesday in my Junk Journal series. I have made a mini journal using the Pretty Pillow Box dies as the cover. A lovely little quick project that I have made to look vintage but you could easily use pretty paper and make if any theme you like.
Measurements and Materials
- One sheet of Thick Basic White cardstock was aged using a blending brush and the following inks
- Sahara Sand
- Crumb Cake
- Soft Suede
- Journal cover is cut using the Pillow Box Die
- The sides were cut off to make a straight edge on each side
- Using the rest of the sheet tags were die cut using the Tailor Made Tags dies
- 2 x smallest tags
- 7 x next size up
- 4 x next size up
- The pages of the journal were cut from one sheet of tea dyed paper
- 6 pages 3 1/4" x 4"
- Folded in half to form 2" x 3 1/4"
- This created 24 pages back and front
- Each folded sheet was placed inside each other to form a signature
- The edges were neatened with a craft knife so they were all the same width
- 4 pockets 3 3/4" x 7/8"
- 4 pockets 1 7/8" x 1 1/4"
- These pockets were made from 2 layers of tea dyed paper
- You could use Designer Series paper if you preferred
- Pockets for front & back inside cover were made from the cardstock
- 1 7/8" x 5/8" & 1 7/8" x 1 1/4"
- Discs for the closure cut from the ink stained cardstock
- I used a retired 3/4" circle punch
- I cut another with the retired 1/2" circle punch
- I attached using an eyelet
- Linen thread was used to tie around to fasten
- The tags and pages and cover were all stamped on using the stamp sets listed below
