Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator
Thank you for visiting my blog today. Did you miss me yesterday?! I had had a weekend away celebrating my wonderful Mother in law's 80th birthday so did not have one prepared and needed to craft as I had had a weekend away from it. Do you ever feel like you need to craft? I certainly do and although I had other things that I needed t do I just went for it and had a lovely day and evening crafting! I was using some of my favourite Stampin' Up! stamps and inks and creating some vintage ephemera for my latest journal. My favourite kind of crafting at that moment ... next to making Christmas cards.

Pootler Event In September
We are all getting very excited in the team for the big team get together. It has been 2 years since we all met. Such a long time. We normally get together about 4 times a year so I am sooooo excited to be planing swaps and anticipating all the laughs and great crafting we will do ...although I will probably do more talking and laughing!
I am literally counting down the days until we meet up. I even had to move the holiday Ed & I had planned as it clashed! Ed did't really mind, we had only booked the time off not an actual venue so it was easy to swap it around. He is such a good crafting partner!
If you joined my team you could also attend the event. It is open to all Pootlers and being part of my team means you are a Pootler as well. What is a Pootler? That is the name of Sam Hamond-Donald's team, she is my upline and anyone in my team will also be a Pootler. So as if the fabulous joining offer wasn;t enough to tempt you, joining this month means you could be crafting with me and the rest of the team in person next month! The event is in Peterborough so quite central, there is a cost involved but so worth it for a great weekend away.
Impossible Card
I thought I would now just share the card I gave my Mother in law, I made it ages ago and have a video tutorial on it.

Measurements and Materials
- Very Vanilla card stock
- 3" x 6" (x4)
- Score on the long side of each rectangle @ 1 1/2" & 4 1/2"
- On 2 of the rectangles draw a light pencil line at 1 1/2" on each short side to the score line
- This card can be made in different sizes as long as the width of each rectangle is half the size of the length e.g. 3" x 6" or 3 1/2" x 7" or 4"x 8" etc also remember to adjust the score line to be 1/4 of the length e.g. for 6" score @ 1 1/2", 8" score @ 2"
- Fold and burnish all score lines
- Lay rectangles in pairs next to each other but at right angles to each other
- The folds should be faced down on one pair and faced up with the other pair
- Put adhesive - I used Tombow - in each corner to the half way point
- I drew a line 1 1/2" along so I knew where to place the glue
- Stick the top rectangles to the bottom rectangles
- Make sure they are flush at each corner
- Once stuck run the bone folder over the scored lines
- Fold out the centre flaps to form new square and again burnish with bone folder
- Fold out again to form another new shape (sort of cross) and again burnish with bone folder
- Fold out again to form new square - this is the last square, again burnish with bone folder
- Carry on folding out the card to loosen it and making sure it flips well
- Mats first and 4th flip
- 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" (x2)
- 2 4/4" x 1 1/4" (x 2)
- Mats for the 2nd & 3 rd flip
- 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" (x2)
- 1 1/4" x 1 1/4" (x4)
