Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator
Thank you for visiting my blog, I really do appreciate it and hope you like the project and will take a look at the video tutorial as well. Today is the first Saturday of the month so that means it is The Project Share Blog Hop. I love hopping with my team mates and friends Verity, Jill & Heather, this month we are using Free products in the Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration. I am using the cute DSP Penguin Playmates. I have created a One Sheet Wonder. I have done this because my sister who loves penguins said that although the DSP is lovely she has no idea what to do with sheets that are covered in images. SO I decided to show her ... & everyone else. I had so much fun making these tags and cards. If you are a customer of mine you may recognise the tags as I popped them into your new mini catalogue parcels.
Measurements and Materials
- I punched out the penguins using the Penguin Builder punch from the sheet of DSP
- I then fussy cut all the polar bears and fox's
- Yes that took some time but it was quite easy to do, the trees that I then decided to cut out were a bit tedious though!
- I used the 3 main colours from the DSP to make frames using the Scalloped Contour dies
- Calypso Coral
- Soft Sea Foam
- Just Jade
- I also used these colours for the sentiment mats
- I stamped and heat embossed in white the Happy Christmas
- Except one where I stamped directly on the card base
- All card bases were Thick Basic White, 8 1/4" x 5 1/2"
- Scored @ 4 1/8"
- If you are using US letter sized card stock then it is your standard size card base
- UK A5 needs trimming down to 5 1/2" so the Die cut mat is in proportion better
- I used a stitched rectangle to cut a mat to sit inside the Scalloped Contour layer
- This was then embossed with the Painted Textures folder to give the impression of snow
- The cut out characters were arranged on this mat with the sentiment
- Each was changed slightly, different groups of animals and slightly different placement of sentiment
- There were more penguins that were needed for the card so I made some tags
- I used the Tailor Made tag dies and created a colourful background by blending ink while the die was in place
- Some are wearing a scarf, some a bow tie and some have a bow in their hair
- These are going to be so cute on Christmas pressents
