Technique Tuesday: Colouring

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

Thank you for visiting my blog, I really do appreciate it. Today I am taking part in the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop, the theme is Colouring. SO I have decided to show you a stencil technique. We have some lovely masks in the catalogue that work really well with our inks and blender brushes. But I wanted to use different images. So I made my own stencil using the Meadow Dies. I have also used the new 2021-2023 In Colours. I am so pleased with how these cards turned out, I do hope you like them as well :-)

Measurements and Materials

  • Card bases are half a standard sheet of cardstock
    • UK A4 8 1/4" x 5 7/8"
    • Score @ 4 1/8" on the long side
  • Mat 1:  3 7/8" x 5 5/8"
  • Mat 2: 3 5/8" x 5 3/8"
  • Stencil created by tacking a 6"x6" piece of thick card (I used the card from a pack of DSP)
  • I arranged the Meadow dies on this and cut them out
  • I then used the negative images as a stencil
  • I used the Blending Brushes to add ink to the card mat
  • I used Evening Evergreen on the stems of flowers and foialage
  • I used Fresh Freesia,  Polished Pink & Pale Papaya for the flowers and butterflies
