Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator
Thank you for visiting my blog, I really do appreciate it. Today I am bringing you the tutorial for the card I made for the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop, the theme was Colouring. I have decided to show you a stencil technique. I came up with this idea when reading a post in a Junk Journalling group I am in and someone asked if anyone had made their own stencils. It was a lightbulb moment! We have some lovely masks in the catalogue that work really well with our inks and blender brushes. But I wanted to use different images. So I made my own stencil using the Meadow Dies. I have also used the new 2021-2023 In Colours. I am so pleased with how these cards turned out, I do hope you like them as well :-)
Measurements and Materials
- Card bases are half a standard sheet of cardstock
- UK A4 8 1/4" x 5 7/8"
- Score @ 4 1/8" on the long side
- Mat 1: 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"
- Mat 2: 3 5/8" x 5 3/8"
- Stencil created by tacking a 6"x6" piece of thick card (I used the card from a pack of DSP)
- I arranged the Meadow dies on this and cut them out
- I then used the negative images as a stencil
- I used the Blending Brushes to add ink to the card mat
- I used Evening Evergreen on the stems of flowers and foialage
- I used Fresh Freesia &
