Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator
Thank you for visiting my blog, I really do appreciate it. Today I am bringing you the video tutorial for the card I made for the Stamp 'n Hop blog hop. The theme this month was #simplestamping. I decided to use the lovely Butterfly Brilliance stamp set. This is one of the new stamp sets in the new Stampin' Up! Annual catalogue, I just love it. I actually got it during the prerelease period but have not yet used it in a project. There are dies to cut these out and detailed dies but for this #simplestamping card. I used one of the new In Colours, Evening Evergreen, for the blog hop but for this video tutorial I have decided to use Fresh Freesia. I really love this set of colours. In the original card I stuck the mat and frame on at an angle, for the video I stuck them straight, which do you prefer? I'd love to know :-)
Measurements and Materials
- Thick Basic White card base
- 8 1/4" x 5 7/8"
- Score @ 4 1/8" on the long side
- Fresh Freesia frame made using the 2 larges Stitched Rectangles
- Butterflies stamped onto Basic White card stock with Fresh Freesia
- I used Wink Of Stella to colour the bodies of the butterflies
- You could always use just a paintbrush and water
- I cut the stamped card stock with the second largest Stitched Rectangle
- I decided to stick the frame and the butterflies at an angle to each other
- The sentiment is from another new stamp set, Flowers Of Friendship
- The Double Oval punch is just perfect for this sentiment
Now watch the video tutorial to see how this was made :-)
