Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator
Thank you for visiting my blog, I really do appreciate it and hope you like the project and will take a look at the video tutorial as well. I am delighted that I have finally finished the 2 Vintage Days journals I have been making with the Artymaze digital kit. I finished one of the covers without filming and the other is in the video tutorial linked below. I spent about 2 hours doing this but I have speeded the video up and recorded a voice over as I didn't think anyone would want to watch me craft for 2 hours!
Measurements and Materials
- I used a card Amazon envelope for the cover
- I trimmed it down the folded envelope to 8 3/4" tall and 7 1/4" wide
- I strengthened the spine area with tyvek
- I covered it in some velvet fabric
- I added card to the inside to give it extra strength
- I used one of the background papers on the inside of the cover
- I added a pocket to the inside of both the front and back covers
- These pockets were decorated and a small pocket added and tags added
- The signatures were sewn to the cover using the 3 hole pamphlet stitch
- Lace was added to decorate
- Eyelets were added to some pages for charms
- Eyelet was also added to the back cover for the ribbon closure
- Metal corners were added
- I decorated the front very simply as I did not want to cover the beautiful fabric
Now watch the video tutorial to see how this was made :-)
