Quick Easy Vintage Envelopes For Your Junk Journal

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

Thank you for visiting my blog today on Junk Journal day.  I really do appreciate it and hope you like the project and will take a look at the video tutorial as well.  This project os a quick easy envelope, can be made in any size and they are great for adding to your journals, just hook over a page or tuck in a pocket. They can be filled with journalling cards and little bits you pick up that yo want to remember like tickets to an event ... which we will hopefully be able to attend soon. I have used tea dyed paper, some digital paper and images from Artymaze Vintage Days, some book pages and a napkin.

Measurements and Materials

  • I used a standard sheet of paper for this envelope base
  • It was tea dyed
  • I scored 1" on each end of the short side
    • You could just eyeball and fold over a sect ion on each side
  • On the long side I scored @ 3" & 7 1/2"
  • The 3" section is the flap and the middle section is the front of the envelope and the last section is what folds up
  • Video tutorial shows how the cut and put it together
  • I also show haw easy this can be done by just folding and demonstrate this with a half sheet
  • You can also see in the video tutorial how I decorated the 3 sections to make a vintage looking envelope

Now watch the video tutorial to see how this was made :-)
