Quick Easy Diagonal Book Page Pockets For Your Junk Journal

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

Thank you for visiting my blog today on Junk Journal day.  I really do appreciate it and hope you like the project and will take a look at the video tutorial as well.  This project is a quick easy page pocket made from book pages. I love finding ways to use up the ever growing collection of old book pages I am accumulating!  This is a really quick and easy method to create 4 pockets on a page and the diagonal fold creates a fun look to your page as well.  I have used some digital paper and images from Artymaze Vintage Days as well as some book pages.

Measurements and Materials

  • I folded one of the top corners of the book page diagonally to meet the side of the page
  • This was glues down
  • I repeated with the opposite corner on another page
  • There were then covered with a printed sheet of Artymaze Vintage Days background sheets
  • They were then glues together to form a pocked
  • The third pocket was made by taking a small rectangle (1/4 of a standard sheet)
    • 1/2" was scored on 3 sides - 2 short and 1 long side
    • Un-scored long edge was folded down to form a diagonal top to the pocket
    • Corner trimmed so they can fold back and glue to page to form a pocket
  • Book page was glued to page only around the edges to form a pocket
  • To create the 4th pocket I added a postcard print out from the kit
  • Tags and specimen slides I have previously made were added
