Part 2 Hydrangea Hill Traveler's Notebook

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator 


Thank you for visiting my blog, I really do appreciate it and hope you like the project and will take a look at the video tutorial as well. Tis is part 2 of the Travellers Notebook I made for the Stamp Around UK video hop. In the video hop I make the notebook and here in part 2 I make the cover.

Measurements and Materials

  • Basic White 12"x12" card stock cut to 
    • 9 1/2" x 8 3/4"
    • Score @ 4 1/2" & 5" on the long side
  • Highland Heather mats x2
    • 8 1/4" x 4"\
  • DSP mat x2
    • 8" x 3 3/4"
  • Book plate was made using Stitched SO Sweetly dies & Peaceful Moments sentiment
  • Embellished with flowers punched using the Confetti Flower Border punch
  • The cover was then laminated - twice to ensure it was fully stuck to the cover
  • I finished off all the pockets with borders die cut from Highland Heather using the Ornate Border dies
  • The dyed paper corner were punch with the decorative punch of the Detailed Trio punch
  • Tags were made using Basic White and a mat of the dyed paper also punched with this decorative punch
    • Basic White 7 1/2" x 3 1/2"
    • Mats 6 3/4" x 2 7/8"
  • Elastic was added to the spine to hold the notebook
  • More elastic added for the closure
  • I used eyelets for this

Video Tutorial

The tutorial has 2 parts, part one if the video hop and I make the notebook and pockets. Part 2 I make the cover and tags, I wasn't going to make tags but decided to in the end. I can chose to use them or not and can make more if needed. I will add embellishments as I use it.
