Ink & Share Scrabook March Blog Hop

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

Thank you for visiting my blog, I really do appreciate it. Today I am hopping with the Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog Hop. The theme this month was 'M' we could take that letter and do what we wanted with it. I took it and made Mum. As it was mother's day last week in the UK I was remembering my lovely mum and looking though old photos. As I am the sibling who scrapbooks and is obsessed with preserving photos I have inherited all mum & dads photos and am slowly digitalising them so they will be available for years to come. I just love the photo of my mum on her First Holy Communion taken in her back garden in the house she grew up in with her 9 brothers and sisters! I equally love the photo of my dad as a little boy, I love how this studio photo was touched up with some colour. Both these photos will date back to the late 1930s/early 1940s and are a real treasure. I decided that they needed to be off my computer and onto a scrapbook layout. Now it is done I think it will actually go in a frame on the wall. I have kept it simple and tried to create something vintage and in keeping with the age of the pictures.
