Technique Tuesday Blog Hop: Die Cutting

Thank you for visiting my blog, I really do appreciate it. Today I am taking part in the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop. This month we are looking at die cutting. I am using a die cut and then using the negative image to create a template so another colour can be added  easily.  It is a long time since I used these lovely Butterfly Beauty Dies, I think we get so excited about new products that we neglect once loved sets.

Measurements and Materials

• Thick Basic White card stock
• 8 1/4" x 5 7/8"
• Score on long side @ 4 1/8"
• Basic White Card mat
• 5 7/8" x 4 1/8"
• Die cut the thicker butterfly die
• Misty Moonlight card mat
• 5 7/8" x 4 1/8"
• Die cut the thiner butterfly die
• Keep the negative image as this is used as a template to blend the Magenta Madness
• Card front is covered in Misty Moonlight ink that is applied using the blender brushes
• Template is added over the top and Magenta Madness ink is blended over the top of the Misty Moonlight creating the purple shade for the butterflies
• Butterfly die cuts adhered to front of the card
• Pearls added for a finishing touch
• Sentiment heat embossed with White embossing powder and fussy cut out
