Faux Vintage Postage Stamps

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

Thank you for visiting my blog, I really do appreciate it. I am bringing you another Junk Journal tutorial.  I do hope you enjoy them as much as me.  Today I am making faux vintage stamps. I just love them. Great for adding to clusters on a page or to use as a little journalling spot. Nice to pop in a little tuck spot in your journal as well. All created using the lovely Rectangle Postage Stamp punch from Stampin; Up!

Measurements and Materials

  • Use the punch to punch out the image you want on your stamp
  • I have used the lovely vintage photos from the Artymaze Vintage Days Kit
  • I have also used some Stampin' Up! DSP
  • Finally I use a gardening book
  • I used different Stampin' Up! stamps to add post mark and franking to the faux stamps
  • I glues these to Tea dyed paper so it looked like they were torn off an envelope
  • Other faux stamps I trimmed off the edges and added them to tea dyed paper that had been punched with the Postage stamp punch
  • I also made one using pinking shears to show how they looked using them
  • Finally I embossed some in an Old Paper embossing folder to give it the look like it was really old
  • Of course they were all inked up to distress them some more

Now watch the video tutorial to see how this was made :-)
