Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator
Thank you for visiting my blog, I really do appreciate it. I am bringing you another Junk Journal tutorial. This is another episode in the tutorials for the journal I made using the Artymaze kit, Vintage Days. I am making 2 more journals and will be making tutorials for each of the different pockets and tags I made. This tutorial is for the altered postcards I made into journalling cards or could be used as photo mats. I have seen a lot of people doing a challenge of altering playing cards but I have a ton of these postcards that come in a Stampin' Up! starter kit. I have my own set and a number of packs from team members who are just hobby demos so they give me their business pack. I have kept these cards as I always knew I'd come up with a use for them and at last I have!
Measurements and Materials
- The cards measure 5 3/4" x 4 1/8"
- So they are basically a 1/4 of A4
- So you could easily fit a photo on the back or use for journalling
- The original 2 I made I coated in gesso to cover the printing and then stamped it with a dictionary stamp I have
- This took some time due to applying 2 coasts to each side and having to wait for it to dry.
- So then I looked at the finished cards and thought why don't I just cover with actual dictionary page ...it would be quicker!
- SO that is what I did for the next one and I liked how it looks
- In my tutorial I used music fro an old hymnal
- I used the lovely photos from the Vintage days kit as the focal point and other ephemera as wel as lace and doilies and paper napkins
- I think these are going look great in my journal
