Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator
Thank you for visiting my blog, I really do appreciate it. Today I am taking part in the Ink. Stamp. Share blog hop. You may have arrived here from Tracie, welcome, I am Gez & I am a UK based Stampin' Up! demonstrator. The theme of this months blog hop is Christmas Tree Decoration. I have always wanted to make this tree dec, I first saw it about 3 years ago made by Mixed Up Crafts. I thought it looked amazing and quite complicated, but still want4ed to give it a go. I have never got around to it so this theme gave me the perfect opportunity to make it. I have added some foil sheets to mine which I think really adds a bit of 'wow' and luxury to the bauble.
Measurements and Materials
- Pretty Peacock cardstock
- 6 1/4" x 10 1/2"
- Score on the long side @ 1 1/4" - 2 1/2" - 3 3/4" - 5" - 6 1/4" - 7 1/2" - 8 3/4" - 10"
- Score on the short side @ 1 1/4" - 2 1/2" - 3 3/4" - 5"
- Score again on the long side but only down to the first horizontal score line
- 5/8" - 3 1/8" - 5 5/8" - 8 1/8"
- Flip the card stock over and score on the opposite long side in the same way
- Score two diagonal lines in each square next to the square you just scored in
- See template below that shows all the score line
- Punch a small hole in the squares that have not been scored in at one end only
- See template
- It is important that the hole is in the centre point so you can draw a cross to help you
- Cut 1" x 1" squares in the Brightly Gleaming DSP - 18 of them
- Cut 1" x1" squares of Copper Foil - 8 of them
- Mark 1/2" on one side and cut from opposite corner to this point and repeat
- You now have a large triangle and 2 smaller triangles
- Cut 10" Cinnamon Cider ribbon
