Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator
Thank you for visiting my blog, I really do appreciate it. This week as part of my Junk Journal series I am making a pocket from a book page, decorating it and ageing scanned vintage documents to go in it. I am very excited that this second journal is almost complete. I have decided that this will be a single signature journal and I will have a go at making a fabric cover. I have been buying some great offcuts and scarfs from charity shops so have some lovely pieces to chose from. I have been waiting for a sewing machine in my price range to come back in stock and am delighted that one is and it arrived today.
Measurements & Materials
- I scored at about 1" on 3 sides of the rectangle of the book page
- Cut diagonally across the bottom 2 corner
- All edges were inked
- The 3 sections are turned in and glue applied so it can be attached to the page
- The pocket was decorated
- I aged the printed scanned documents by
- printing onto parchment paper
- folding along where they were originally folded
- all creased and edges were inked
- splatters were stamped on
- coffee cup stains were also stamped on
