Junk Journal Master Board Process & Creating Tags

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

Thank you for visiting my blog, I really do appreciate it. Today as part of my Junk Journal series I am showing the process I went through to create a 'master board' and then use this to make 6 tags.  What's a master board? Well my understanding is that it's a background paper that you create that is made up of collaging bits of ripped up elements that can then be cut up and used for making tags, pockets, pages etc. It is a very enjoyable, relaxing process and the results were so much better than I expected. The best of it is I scanned each step so I can print my master board to use again and again! I used copyright free images so I was ok to do this. I wanted to create this so I could share with my niece who has just made her first journal and loved it but works full time and has 4 children so not much spare time to hunt for ephemera!

Don't forget to check out the play lists on my YouTube channel that show me making my first junk journal and making tags and embellishments.

Time for the closeups!

Here are the scans I made of the different stages of the master board.

Small 3D Cube Pop Up Birthday Card Using Hallows Night Magic

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

Thank you for visiting my blog, I really do appreciate it. Today I am bringing you the tutorial for the card I made for the  3D Paper Trimmer blog hop. The theme this month was the Stampin' Up! mini catalogue.  I have used the Hallows Magic Night bundle and Plaid Tidings DSP for my project. I am showing that they are not just for the season they were made for by making a birthday card with them. This card is for my eldest son's birthday and he is into heavy metal so I though a few bats would be very well received! It is in fact his birthday today and we will be seeing him later for a meal out that he has decided to pay for as we have paid for plenty over the last 29 years he said! Bless him.

I have made one of these 3D pop up cube cards before but wanted to make a smaller one. This one is 4" x 4" when folded down so it fits in a normal size envelop, or one intended for a 4" x 4" card, and you can get a card out of one sheet of A4 or a standard sheet of card stock.

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

Welcome to Jill & Gez Go Crafting.  Every other Monday I will share 3 projects from my good friend  Jill AKA Paper Daisy Crafting. I really hope you go and visit her blog and watch her videos on YouTube. I have picked amazing projects to share with you, I am sure you will love them too :-)

Jill & Gez Go Crafting with Stampin Up 2nd March

Just in case you are new to my blog let me introduce Jill she is on the right of this photo (I am on the left). She has a lovely Blog which I am sure you will want to check out once you see the projects I have chosen to show you.

This week we are both really excited to have launched our Facebook Group. Come Crafting With Jill & Gez,  We are planning to do some live crafting together, something we have been planning for quite some time. It would be wonderful it you would like to join us click here to join the group

Over the last week Jill & I have taken part in a few blog hops, Jill have created some lovely projects for them.

Project 1

Jill & Gez Go Crafting 28th September 2020

Jill has used the Arrange a Wreath bundle for this lovely autumn card. I love the colours she has used, not Jills usual palette, but really autumnal and spookily very similar to the colours I used for my autumn card!

Project 2

Jill & Gez Go Crafting 28th September 2020

I love the way Jill has made this treat holder bigger, it is made with the Little Treat Box dies. There are so many lovely elements in the bundle, perfect for so many occasions. These would look so nice on your Christmas table.

Project 3

Jill & Gez Go Crafting 28th September 2020

This card was made for a colour challenge. When I saw the colours I knew Jill would really like them. She has used the Little Treat Box bundle again, So many possibilities with this bundle, love the circle and stitched scallop circle die.

I hope you enjoyed the projects I chose and I hope you will go and check out Jill's Blog.

Happy Crafting :-)
