Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator
Thank you for visiting my blog, I really do appreciate it. As promised I am here with the video tutorial for the card I made for the Stampin' Dreams blog hop. This month the theme was Male Card. Do you struggle with making masculine cards? Most people do. I have used Rooted in Nature which I feel lends itself to a masculine card really well. I used this set for the Fathers day card I made for my Father in law and he really liked it. This time I have gone a bit vintage though and teamed it up with Very Versailles and the old World Paper embossing folder. I have stepped up the original card for the tutorial, perhaps you can tell me which you like best.
Measurements and Materials
- Card base is a standard C6 card size using the Thick Very Vanilla card stock
- Standard sheet cut in half scored in half
- Card size 4 1/8" x 5 7/8" UK size
- If you have different size card stock then it will still work
- Mat 1 in Cinnamon Cider
- 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"
- Mat 2 in Very Vanilla
- 3 5/8" x 5 3/8"
- I embossed the Very Vanilla mat with the Old World Paper 3D embossing folder
- I brushed over some ink to give it a vintage look
- I stamped all the elements in the lovely new in colour Cinnamon Cider
- I stamped the skeleton leaves from Rooted in Nature and die cut them out
- I also die cut some Cinnamon Cider leaves using both the embossing doe and the edge die for each leaf
- I stamped the script stamp and sentiment from Very Versailles
- The script was torn and inked and embossed to look like an old piece of manuscript
- The sentiment was doe cut using the rectangle stitched die from Ornate Layer
