Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator
Thank you for visiting my blog, as promised I am here with the tutorial for the card I made for the monthly Colour Combo blog hop. The colours this month were right up my street. I knew what I wanted to do as soon as I saw them. I wanted to try out the 'splat' technique, no idea if thats actually what it is called but I saw it demonstrated on a video hop I was on last month and I loved the effect so couldn't to try it. Check out Artfulstampin by Ruth. I thought Misty Moonlight over the top of Highland Heather would work really well.
Measurements and Materials
- Card Base Sahara Sand
- 8 1/4" x 5 7/8"
- Score @ 4 1/8" on the long side
- Mat 1 Misty Moonlight
- 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"
- Mat 2 Whisper White
- 3 5/8" x 5 3/8"
- I used the 'splat' technique to stamp the Highland Heather
- I used the Stamparatus so I could easily stamp in Misty Moonlight directly over the top
- I 'spritzed' some Sahara Sand using a stampin' write marker over the white of the mat
- I heat embossed the sentiment in white on Misty Moonlight and fussy cut it out
