Top Tips For Lovely Labels Pick A Punch

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

Thank you for visiting my blog, I really do appreciate it and hope you like the project I have made. I was doing a zoom class a few weeks ago and one of my attendees was having trouble with the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch so I showed her the long window sheet arms I had made so you can cut smaller strips. She also said it was hard t get a good matting layer so I decided t find a solution for her. I had seen this idea in a photo on a Facebook group but couldn't remember where so just tried it out from memory.  I made myself a set of these templates and tried them out and they worked. I then decided to do a spontaneous live on Facebook to share this tip as i was quite excited about it and thought it would be nice to make these for that customer and class attendee. I have now put the video o my youtube channel to it is easy to find.

Top Tips For Lovely Labels Pick A Punch

Measurements and Materials

  • These templates help you to cut your sentiment strip to the right size for punching
  • I have used strips of window sheets
    • 3 1/2" x 1/2"
    • 3 1/2" x 3/4"
    • 3 1/2" x 1"
  • I punched 3 scrap strips at each end with the different label punched
  • So I have 6 small punched out bits that you normally throw away
  • I stuck these small bits to each end of the window strip
  • I was careful to make sure they were right up to the end of the strip
  • Now I can stamp my sentiment on a strip and place the window sheet strip over the top and see which section will be cut off
  • You can either draw a line at the edge of the window sheet or as I did just cut the card stock using the window sheet as a guide
  • Repeat for both sends as required
  • Now when you place in the punch yo know how made will be punched off
  • You ca use the extender arm I have made to hold small strips
  • Now place the sentiment strip on the card stock strip you are using to mat and place the window sheet template on top to see where you want the punch to cut
  • Again snip the card strip at the end of the window sheet
  • Now when you punch you will have the perfect layer

Now watch the video tutorial to see how this was made :-)

The Project Share 30th July 2020

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

Nigezza Creates Project Share Stampin Up!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today, it's Thursday so it's time for another Project Share.  Every Thursday I chose a project from 3 of my crafty friends. From the left we have Jill aka Paper Daisy Crafting, Verity aka Inkybutterfly, me and Heather aka Stamp with Nellie.

At the weekend we were all on a blog hop together with InspireINK, the theme was the new 2020-2022 in colours. It was a great hop and so any fabulous projects to inspire.

The Project Share 30th July 2020

This project has me running to our chocolate box in the kitchen! Cinnamon Cider works really well with this stamp set to make the chocolates look real. Lovely way to dress up a chocolate bar to make a little gift.

The Project Share 30th July 2020

This is a very striking set of cards. Verity masked off sections and added ink to create the stripes. She has once again used vellum to great affect on this card.

Jill from Paper Daisy Crafting

The Project Share 30th July 2020

Jill has used every one of the in colours on this card, they work really well together. No stamping involved either.

I hope you have enjoyed these projects and have visited the blogs. I will be back tomorrow with another  Project, until then ...

Happy Crafting!

Adding Photos & Journalling To My Junk Journal

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

Thank you for visiting my blog, I really do appreciate. I have decided to share with you the process I am going through to add photos to my junk journal. I often see people asking what you do with the journals when they are made so I thought I would show what I am doing with mine.

It was always my intention to make a memory book of 2020, I never imagined in January who the year would pan out so this will be a very interesting read in years to come!

If you wish to see this series from the beginning episode 1 you can view it here :-)

I am so excited that it is finished and now I can start to record my thoughts for 2020 :-)

Adding Photos & Journalling To My Junk Journal

Measurements and Materials

I normally give you the measurements of my projects, but for this project this will not always be possible as it is often not precise as it involves ripping paper!

The signatures in this Junk Journal are me using A4 sheets folded in half to make an A5 sized journal.

I am really enjoying just eyeballing and ripping and being very imprecise!

Now watch the video video of my flick through the finished album :-)
