Ink Stamp Share Special Blog Hop

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

Thank you for visiting my blog, I really do appreciate it.  Today I am taking part in an extra blog hop with INK Stamp Share. We thought it would be nice to do an extra one as people are sending more time at home. The theme is Anything Goes so as it is Easter Weekend I thought I would do a cute Easter treat box.

Measurements and Materials

  • 6"x6" sheet of DSP
    • Score @2" on all 4 sides
    • Make a mark @ 3" on 2 opposite sides
    • Score a line from these marks to each corner of the middle square to form a triangle
  • Cut off each corner across the diagonal
  • Fold and burnish all score lines
  • Fold each corner square so the burnished sides meet and burnish the triangle that is formed
  • This should now fold up to form the triangular box
  • For the belly band use matching or contrasting card stock 2"x7 1/2"
  • fold and pinch the belly band round the box making sure the join is at the bottom
  • Burnish the pinched folds and stick in place
    • Make sure it is not too tight you want the box to be able to be pushed out but not fall out
  • For the bunny
    • Cut the smallest oval of the layering ovals in Petal Pink x 4
    • Cut the smallest scallop oval of the layering ovals in Whisper White x 4
    • These will form the 2 ears and 2 feet
    • Punch 2" circle in Whisper White x 2 for the bunny body
    • Punch 1 1/2" circle in Whisper White for the bunny head
    • Punch 1 1/8" scallop circle punch x 3 fr the bunny tail
    • Punch the Heart from the Dog punch for the bunny nose
    • Silver thread is used for the whiskers
    • Googly eyes used for eyes
    • Petal Pin metallic edge ribbon tied into a bow for the next

Video Tutorial

I have made a video tutorial which I will publish later today so why not pop back to see how easy it is to make this cute box.
