Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator
Thank you for visiting my blog, I really do appreciate it and hope you like the project and will take a look at the video tutorial as well. I have been teaching Ed again! This time we made Christmas Crackers. We are trying to be eco friendly and are actively recycling and upcycling and cutting down our single use plastic. So we were not going to buy any crackers this year but we would miss them especially as we will have a house full. So I decided to design a cracker. I wanted them to look like traditional crackers and to have a snap, so I managed to get the snaps from amazon and all the rest if from my Stampin' Up! stash.
Ed did really well, he used a score board for the first time and did some random stamping, stamping off and learnt that my craft scissors cut to the tip!
Measurements and Materials
- Standard sheet of card stock
- Score on the long side @ 2" - 2 7/8" - 3 3/4" (5 1/2cm - 7 1/2cm - 9 1/2cm)
- Turn card stock a half turn and score again on long side @ 2" - 2 7/8" - 3 3/4" (5 1/2cm - 7 1/2cm - 9 1/2cm)
- Please note that these measurements are for a toilet roll inner that measures 4" if your inner is a different size then you will need to adjust these
- You could also trim the short side down by an inch (2.5cm) especially if you card stock width is 8 1/2"
- To decorate the snow flacked from Snowman Season was stamped over the Whisper White
- The snowman was stamped and colour in before punching out
- An oval in Whisper White was cut and a Layering scallop oval was die cut in Bermuda Bay
- The Whisper White ribbon was coloured with the Bermuda Bay Blend
Now watch the video tutorial to see how this was made :-)
