Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator
Thank you for visiting my blog, I really do appreciate it and hope you like the project and will take a look at the video tutorial as well. Today I have made a decoration for my Christmas tree. It looks a lot harder to make than it really is.
Measurements and Materials
- There are 6 sections to the tree ornament, each section is made in the same way
- For each section you need a 2" x 2" (5cm x 5cm) piece of DSP
- Each square is folded in half diagonally
- It is then folded in half again
- You will have a small triangle
- Hold the point with the single fold to the left and the double folds to the bottom
- Cut 3 slits parallel to the diagonal side, stop just before the folded edge
- There are 4 sections now and you must adhere each of the points together
- Using a pen/pokey tool or similar to curl each section
- You alternate which side (star side or other side) are stuck
- Once the 6 sections are made they are then joined together in the centre
- Some of the sides can also be joined
- 2 snowflakes were heat embossed and then punched out with the 1 1/8" scallop circle punch
- These were attached with mini dimensionals
- Finally some bakers twine was tied round one of the points ready for my tree!
