A Day At The Park
So I decided to use the Abstract Impression stamp set and create a park scene at sunset! I have a beautiful park just behind my house, I call it my garden, it's beautiful and someone else does the gardening! lol As it is just behind where I live we walk through it at all times of the day, I used to walk through it first thing in the morning taking my youngest to school, later in the day to pick him up, I would jog around it, take the kids to build snowmen and make snow angles in it, once when we had floods we went walking in our wellies in it, and when we go out at night we walk through it to the pub. We see it during all the seasons and through out the day so I tried to capture just one of those moments. I live in Hull in the UK and it is very flat, you have to drive out of the city to find a hill! But as a result we have a lot of sky and we get the most amazing sunsets because the whole sky is visible. I love it.
Measurements and Materials
- Basic Black card base
- 8 1/4" x 5 7/8"
- 4 1/8" x 5 7/8" folded
- Whisper White card mat
- 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"
- Abstract Impressions stamp set
- I stamped the images in Versamark
- I used black embossing powder and heat embossed it
- To create the sunset I picked out yellow and orange inks and just sponged them on
- Crushed Curry
- Mango Melody
- Pumkin Pie
- Calypso Coral
- Then I wanted a sentiment which I stamped again in Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder
- I then used the same colours and sponges this over the white embossing
- I went over this with the corresponding markers because it was too light
- It does not show up that well in the picture and is much darker in real life
- Cajun Craze
