Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator
Thank you so much for visiting my blog today, I really hope you like my project. These cards were made for the Pootlers team card swap. 3 times a year when ever there is a new catalogue we do a card swap. We are groups into groups of 6 and we each make 5 identical cards and send them to the other 5 people in the group to show off the new products. This is a great way to see products you may not have bought yet or give you inspiration for using the products you do have.
I have used my favourite set the Butterfly Gala and matching punch and a stamp set that was FREE at OnStage that although I like the sentiments I can not actually make any of the images look good. So I forced myself to use the set and came up with this idea for the stamp with lines, I was going to use the Gingham paper but these stripes work well I think.

Stamping
- The butterflies stamp together so they line up with the duet punch easily
- I stamped this twice to give me 2 large and 2 small butterflies
- I decide not to stamp the solid colour stamp over the butterfly outline
- I stamped the lines 3 times on the bottom of the top mat
- I rotated the stamp each time as it seemed to follow the lines better that way
- I stamped the sentiment about 1/2" above the lines on the right of the card
- Any of the sentiments in the set would have worked but I liked 'I am glad we are friends' because it seemed appropriate for my team mates
- I stuck the ribbon between the lines and the sentiment
- I then scattered the butterflies on the front of the card as per the picture
