This group is run by Amanda Charlseworth aka Scrimpin Mommy. Its a wonderful group with 2 weekly challenges and an ongoing colour challenge. If you are looking for a place to meet fellow crafters and share your makes in a friendly encouraging community then the is the group for you. Amanda and the design team (which I am one of) are Stampin' Up! demonstrators but projects do not have to be Stampin' Up! we love crafting and anything goes :-)
Mini Album Challenge Set on 13th August
This album I made to start the challenge off, I have used 4 sheets of 6" x 6" Stampin' Up! DSP and some Memories and More cards. I shared a tutorial of how I made my album and was thrilled that some people had a go at make a mini album for the very first time.
Group Entries
The first album is made by Elaine Spencer. I really like how this turned out, Elaine did not have magnets for the closure so has used some bakers twine in stead which works really well.
Rosalie Young made the next album, I really like the paper used in this album, it reminds me of 1970s fabric/wallpaper. Again Rosalie did not use magnet she used a ribbon instead.
Lorraine Turner made this next album, like me she has used Christmas paper. Everyone agreed that these little albums would make really lovely gifts. Lorraine has also used some Memories and More cards for the inserts. I love the sentiment on the front and the use of music, very clever play on words.
Helen Chandler made this next entry, she also used some Memories and More cards. I love the way the album pages come out in a concertina style.
This last entry is by Jill Chapman, I love the DSP used in this album and the corner punch used on the inserts. The Pretty Label punch gives a very pretty feature on the pocket fronts as well and it is also fastened by a ribbon.
Well I think you will agree there is lots of inspiration there and all so different. Thank you everyone for taking part and if you would like to feature in a Design Team blog just pop over to the Facebook group and join in with the Monday DT challenge. It is different every week and really fun to do and helps if you need some inspiration.
See you all soon, I a back tomorrow with my usual tutorial, it is another mini album but this one is completely different.
Happy Crafting
Gez xxx
