Christmas Mini Album For #stampinforall Design Team Challenge Using Stampin' Up!® Memories & More

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

I am so excited to share this mini album with you. This is a Design Team Challenge on Stampin For All face book group. Click here to go to the group

I was inspired to make this after a customer bought the 6" x 6" Garden Impressions DSP  (Designer Series Paper) thinking she could make the one sheet mini album I shared a few months ago. She was really disappointed when I said the album was made from a single 12" x 12" sheet of DSP. However I said I would work one out that will use 6" x 6" DSP.  So here it is! I think I actually prefer this version and therefore will be cutting my 12" x 12" paper down to 6" x 6" in future when making this album!

Nigezza Creates Mini Album 6"x6" & Memories & More

There is no stamping involved in this project because I used the Merry Little Christmas Memories and More pack that is on the clearance rack right now and is only £3.60. Check out an earlier project where I have used them to make Christmas Cards.

Measurements and Materials

  • Regals 6" X 6" (15.2 X 15.2 Cm) Designer Series Paper
    • I chose 4 sheets from this pack, 2 in Cherry Cobbler and 2 in Old Olive
    • I chose these colours to match the Memories and More cards
    • I could have chosen 4 the same or 4 different ones, its up to you :-)
    • Score each sheet @ 3" - this is the middle fold of each page
    • Turn 90°
    • Score each sheet @ 2" - this is the pocket of each page
  • Merry Little Christmas Memories & More Card Pack
    • I used 8 cards for the inserts of the album
    • each card needed a small amount trimming off each of the sides so they fitted in the pockets
    • How much you trim will depend on how much glue you use to stick the pockets down
    • I used a sentiment from one card for the front of the album
    • Further elements can be used to decorate your album further
  • Cherry Cobbler A4 Card Stock
    • Used for the spine and the belly band fastening
  • Mini Stampin' Dimensionals
    • Used to adhere the sentiment to the belly band
  • I also used some very strong magnets for the closure - I purchased these on Amazon - mine are 1mm x 10mm

    1. Thank you Glenda I am glad you found the tutorial helpful. This certainly does make a great gift, I have mede this mini album in a class recently and some attendees have now made several for different occasions, they are so quick to make and easy to get photos to fit if you use a collage app on your phone.
Thank you again for your lovely feedback :-)

  2. Hi Gez, I have never made a 'mini-album' before but I am certainly going to give it a go. I am going to start with the 6x6 one to start with and then maybe build up to a larger one. This is a DT challenge that I didn't think I would want to do but you have inspired me to do so. Love your projects. :O) TFS xxxx

    1. Oh I am so pleased I have inspired you to have a go, *warning* they can get addictive! lol
This particular one is really quick to put together and small enough to fill quite easily, great for special birthdays or a weekend away. I have done them before now for my sisters day out in London for her birthday and printed photos of the day that night and given the book to my sister the next day as a memento. I also took journalling cards for all her friends to write something. It was a lovely present for her.
I look forward to seeing your album when it is complete :-)

  3. A great gift idea! Do you have measurements for the 12x12 version or is this something I could easily find on youtube?

    1. Thank you Jacquelyne, I have done 2 12x12 versions, one comes out exactly the same size as this one and the other uses 4 sheets of 12x12 and the album measures 6x9. I have tutorials and corresponding blogs for both of these.

Here is a link for the one sheet 12x12 album - https://www.nigezza.co.uk/2018/05/stampin-up-bundle-of-love-mini-album.html
There are other versions of these on YouTube I did not make the idea up myself! lol
I do hope you have a go as they are lovely to do and lovely to give as gifts :-)
