Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator
What an exciting day, 2 posts from me! I was going to wait until my normal Sunday post day for this but really couldn't stop myself as I am sure you are all as excited as me for this new catalogue. This project uses the Varied Vases stamp set and matching punch. Don't you just love stamp sets with matching punches, I do.
I have made 5 cards to show off both this lovely set and the new In Colours, so this is a 2-4-1 post!

Measurements and Materials
- Each card has a standard card base made from Extra Thick Whisper White
- Half a sheet of A4 cut in half and scored in half
- Mat in the in colour card stock
- I then gutted this but cutting out some vases, a round tab for my sponges and a Every Day label
- Mat in Whisper White
- I stamped the Scallop edge on the Whisper White Mat in Memento Ink
- Filled in in with the In Colour I was using
- Stamped 3 of the flower stems in Memento above this 'shelf'
- Filled in in with the In Colour I was using
- I stamped the vases in the in colour onto Whisper White and punched out
- I then varied the vases on the card
- Some were tone on tone, some colour on Whisper White and some just an outline which I water coloured to look like water
- I added a sentiment under the 'shelf'
Template for punching vases
- To help with stamping and punching out the vases I created a template
- I punched the vases out of cradstock
- I trimmed this down to make a template
- I lined this up with the stamps so I could position them on my acrylic block
- I was then able to stamp all 3 vases and punch out easily with little cardstock wastage
- I now keep the template in the stamp box
Time for the closeups!

Great cards! Thanks for the template tip. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThank you France, I have used this template idea before on other punches that have multiple bits, love to save time and cardstock :-)
DeleteLove these Gez, but I am so glad too that you have demonstrated all the different ways to create cards using the different stamps available in this set. I am also glad that you are frugal with your card stock, (this is not cheap) and seeing that you cut as much away as possible for other projects is a great TOP TIP for any crafters, thank you Gez. :O) xx
ReplyDeleteThank you Lorraine, yes I do like to get the most out of my stash! :-)
