Stampin' Up!® Petal Palette Thank You Card

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

Thank you for joining my for this project, I just love the Petal Palette suit, I am really going to miss this paper but delighted that the stamp set and dies are still going to be available. This means I can continue to create stunning projects with them.

Stampin' Up!® Petal Palette Thank You Card

Measurements

  • I used Extra Thick Whisper White for the card base, standard piece of card stock cut in half scored in half
  • I cut a 2" wide strip of the paper and kept it the full height of the card blank
  • I used the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch to punch a border in Basic Black
  • I used the Stitched Square Framelit dies to create a frame
  • I stamped the bird and flowers from the Petal Palette Stamp Set in Momento Black
  • I cut the stamped images out using the Petals and More thinlit dies
  • I stamped the thank you sentiment from the same stamp set
  • I used some worker to dampen the cardstock and then started to tear the paper
  • The water makes it easier to control where the paper rips as the water begins to break down the fibres and makes this much easier
  • I then used the black ink pad to ink the torn edges
  • I stuck the sentiment on with dimensionals

  1. I fell in love with this suite as soon as I saw it in the Spring/Summer catalogue and I knew I had to have it. I did not get the DSP not because I didn't like it but because I had promised myself I would not get any new DSP until I had used up a lot of my stash. I have though put this stamp set with other black and white DSP and it has worked as well. What a fab TOP TIP to run all the stitched squares through together on the Big Shot to get different sized frames. That is a great tip, thank you. :O)

  2. I am so sad to see this paper go, I have used it all bar the 2 pages that are covered in lovely flowers, I intend to colour these with my blends and then I am not sure, maybe a scrapbook page, one sheet wonder, or I might just look at it lol
