Stampin' Up!® Petal Palette Thank You Card

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

Thank you for joining my for this project, I just love the Petal Palette suit, I am really going to miss this paper but delighted that the stamp set and dies are still going to be available. This means I can continue to create stunning projects with them.

Stampin' Up!® Petal Palette Thank You Card

Measurements

  • I used Extra Thick Whisper White for the card base, standard piece of card stock cut in half scored in half
  • I cut a 2" wide strip of the paper and kept it the full height of the card blank
  • I used the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch to punch a border in Basic Black
  • I used the Stitched Square Framelit dies to create a frame
  • I stamped the bird and flowers from the Petal Palette Stamp Set in Momento Black
  • I cut the stamped images out using the Petals and More thinlit dies
  • I stamped the thank you sentiment from the same stamp set
  • I used some worker to dampen the cardstock and then started to tear the paper
  • The water makes it easier to control where the paper rips as the water begins to break down the fibres and makes this much easier
  • I then used the black ink pad to ink the torn edges
  • I stuck the sentiment on with dimensionals

Stampin' Up!® Scrapbook Album using 4 sheets of 12x12 Petal Passion Paper

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

Hi I hope you enjoyed my last mini album I sheared. This one is bigger, it uses 4 sheets of 12" x 12" scrapbook paper. I have used the Petal Passion DSP. When I first saw this paper at On Stage in November I knew I wanted to make a scrapbook out of it. You may be like me and have lots of lovely paper that you have been hoarding, well these scrapbooks are the ideal way of using them up.

I watched lots of tutorials on Youtube before I decided to make this one. What I like about this album is that there is not a complicated spine to make, its quick and is very easy to fill with full sized photos.

UPDATE 17th December 2018 - paper is on clearance right now £4 a pack!

Youtube Video Tutorial

As usual I have made a video tutorial on my YouTube channel

Watch the video tutorial

Instructions and Measurements

  • This album is 6" x 9" when complete
  • Each photo mat is 5" x 8"
  • You need 4 sheets of 12" x 12" for the album
  • Each sheet was scored @ 6"
  • Rotated 90⁰ scored @ 3"
  • Then you decide which order you want your pages to go in
  • The 2 center pages are virtually covered up so pick your least favourite for the center pages
  • Then each page is blurs together
  • The 2 ends of each sheet where the pocket folds up is also glued
  • I made a spine out of a strip of basic black 9" x 3"
  • I scored in the middle and at 1/8" either side to allow for the thickness of the album
  • I glued this in place but added some ribbon under it first to tie it closed.
  • I then decorated one side of each of the photo mats
  • I also decorated the pocket fronts
  • I used the matching memories and more cards as well.

Tag Envelope

  • Basic black cardstock 2 1/2" x 4"
  • Score on short side @ 1/4"
  • Rotate 180⁰ score @ 1/4"
  • Score on long side @ 1 1/2" - 3"
  • Cut up the 1/4" score line on both edges from the top (smallest rectangle) to the second score line
  • Cut off at an angle
  • Put 2" top edge in the tag topper punch
  • Fold sides in a put this bottom edge in the Banner punch
  • Glue edges in place to fit the envelope
  • The tag was made with Whisper White card stock 1 7/8" x 2 3/8"
  • Use tag topper punch and a corner rounder and decorate as you wish
  • You can add a ribbon to the top as well

Decorative elements

  • I stamped out images from the Petal Palette stamp set and cut them out using the Petals and More Die set
  • I also die cut the other elements from their die set
  • Stitched framelits were cut out together to form different sized frames
  • Decorative Ribbon Punch for the front and back of the album
  • Daisy embellishment for the front
  • Black Glimmer ribbon to close the album

Stampin' Up!® Bundle of Love Mini Album using 1 sheet of 12x12

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

I have been watching lot of videos on youtube lately showing how to make mini albums. I have made quite a few in my time and some from one sheet of 12" x12" scrapbook paper. There are various different ways of doing this and here is one way I really like. Very quick and easy. Love how using the Bundle of Love DSP from Stampin' Up! makes a great baby album.

Watch the video tutorial

Measurements and Instructions

It is hard to explain all the folding so I recommend watching the tutorial above.
  • 12" x 12" piece of scrapbook paper, I have used Bundle of Love which is a bit thicker than normal scrapbook paper.
  • Score @ 3" - 6" - 9"
  • Rotate 90⁰
  • Score @ 2"- 6"- 10"
  • Fold an burnish all score lines
  • Chose which side you want as the cover
  • Fold in the 2" folds to the inside
  • Using scissors or your trimmer cut up the middle score line on the side with 2" folds to your left and right
  • Concertina fold all the 3" x 4" sections
  • Glue down the 3 sections that are indicated in the video
  • This can either be. fully glued or glued on 2 sides to form a pocket
  • Glue the idea of the pockets that need adhering
  • Decorate as you wish
  • Add some photo mats to the packets
  • I used Blushing Bride and Very Vanilla to match the album
  • 2 3/4" x 3 3/4"
  • I made the spine by cutting a strip of gold foil 1 1/2" x 4"
  • I scored it at every 1/8" and used Tomboy to glue in place
  • I stuck some ribbon under it to form a closure

Stampin' Up!® Embellishment Earrings and gift box

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

Hi Everyone and thank you for joining me today. I am bringing you an exciting project today, because Stampin' Up! products are so beautiful I decided to make some earrings. I simply added an embellishment to an earring hook wire and that was it almost instant earrings. I bought the earring hooks from Amazon, they are silver plated and cost 90p for 100, (so less than 2p per pair) so really inexpensive. You can make 12 pairs of earrings from the embellishment pack, which costs £7.25, so 60p for 2. Total cost of earrings 62p!

Stampin' Up!® Embellishment Earrings and gift box

Making the 2x2x1 gift box

  • Fresh Floral DSP 7" x 4"
  • Score on long side @ 1" - 3" - 4" - 6"
  • Score on short side @ 1" & 3"
  • Make gift box up like a pizza style box
  • Cut up all the score lines on the long side up to the first score line
  • Cut a notch in the square flaps
  • Apply glue to these flaps and form a box and a lid
  • Using a 1/2" circle punch made a thumb hole

Box insert

  • Whisper White cardstock 3 3/8" x 3 3/8"
  • Score @ 3/4" on all 4 sides
  • I used my Crop-a-dile to make 2 holes for the earrings

Making the earrings

  • This could not be simpler
  • I just added a earring hook to the embellishment!
  • For the leaf I added it directly to the hook
  • For the Daisy I attached a ring first

Stampin' Up!® Embellishment Earrings and gift box

Stampin' Up!® Embellishment Earrings and gift box

Measurements for smaller box

  • Petal Pallet DSP 6" x 3 1/4"
  • Score on long side @ 3/4" - 2 5/8" - 3 3/8" - 5 1/4"
  • Score on short side @ 3/4" & 2 5/8"
  • For the insert 2 3/4" x 2 3/4"
  • Score on all 4 sides @ 1/2"

Decorating the box

  • Whisper White Organza Ribbon tied around the middle and make a bow
  • Stamp onto Whisper White 'Just Because' from Good Day stamp set
  • Punched using the 1 1/8" scallop circle punch
  • Punch circle to mat this using the 1 1/4" circle punch OR the smallest Stitched Circle Framlit
  • I used Berry Burt ink and card stock for the Larger box to match  DSP
  • I used Basic Black Ink and cardstock for the Petal Palette DSP
  • The 2 circles were stuck together and a hole made using my Crop-a-dile
  • I tied some Silver and Whisper White Bakers Twine to attach the disc to the ribbon bow

GDPR - I know you are sick of seeing this!

Hi everyone and thank you for joining me today when I try to comply to the GDPR law that comes in to force on 25th May for Europe.

I am a little business trying to make a living out of doing what I love. I share my creations in this blog, my YouTube channel, Pinterest, Instagram and on Facebook. I have subscribers and followers on these platforms and I have been researching GDPR to try and see how I can ensure I am doing things properly so I don't get a huge fine or worse, shut down. I have worked really hard to build the following I have and do not want to jeopardise this.

As I understand it I need to be open and transparent about what data I have and how I use it. I also need to give you the opportunity to unsubscribe if you choose to. Well the option to unsubscribe is at the bottom of the email if that’s how you get my blogs ~ or you can click here (if I have set the link up correctly!).

Unsubscribe

Your data and my blog

If you have subscribed to my blog your details (email) are stored by a platform called Feedburner. I can log onto that and see your emails, but I rarely do this as I often forget the name of it! I think I’ve done it about 4 times and one of those was yesterday in preparation for writing this. As yet I have not started a regular newsletter but if I was to do this then I would inform you of this and gain your consent for receiving it.

You may read this blog on the platform Bloglovin. I never access anything on there so if your emails are stored there I have no idea how to find them. There will be the facility to unsubscribe via that site as well, at the bottom of the email you receive.

Your data and my Stampin' Up! business

If you have shopped with me, Stampin' Up! will have your address (obviously they need that to send you your order) and payment details. They will have their own privacy policy about how they use this data. If you tick no contact then you will not be contacted by me. However that means you will not receive a thank you gift from me which would be a shame. If you allow contact I will have access to your home address, email and phone number. I store your home address on my customer address list on my laptop so I can print sticky address labels for your catalogues and thank you gifts. I keep your email address on my laptop so I can email you about offers and news from Stampin' Up! from time to time. The laptop is password protected and NO ONE touches MY laptop in my house! It is backed up on my wireless hard drive which is again password protected.

If you do not want me to keep your details in this way then please click ‘no contact’ when ordering and I will do so. You can then send me your address for one-time use for thank you gifts and catalogues and I will delete the message once this has been done. Older information will be kept in order to complete tax returns for the specified duration that the Inland Revenue states is required. This information is kept on my password protected laptop.

Hope I have covered everything!

I have no idea if that’s everything that needs covering. You can probably tell from the rambling way I’ve written this I am not clever enough to misuse your data! I jump for joy with every order, I take great pleasure in making thank you gifts and I love to send them to you. I know who much most of you enjoy receiving the catalogue. I am amazed at how many people read my blog and dearly hope you will continue.

Hope this is the last GDPR post I have to do!

Phew! Glad that is over now back to some crafting!

Cheers

Stampin' Up!® 50th Birthday card using Pick a Pennant & Stamperatus®

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

Thank you for joining me today. This project is a 50th Birthday Card I made for one of my best friends. A lot of people often say to me you can't have more than on best friend, but I am blessed and I do. I wanted to create a party feel with this card and also incorporate bright colours as she does like her 70s fashion.

Stampin' Up!® 50th Birthday card using Pick a Pennant & Stamperatus®

Materials used

  • Extra Thick Whisper White cardstock for card base - 5 7/8" x 8 1/4" Scored @ 4 1/8"
  • Lemon Lime Twist for front mat - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"
  • Whisper White for second mat on front - 5 3/8" x 3 5/8"
  • Whisper White scraps for die cutting celebrate and numbers
  • Lemon Lime Twist scraps for stampin on and die cutting celebrate and numbers
  • Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon
  • Celebrate You Thinlts
  • Large Number Dies
  • Birthday Backgrounds Stamp Set (new stamp set in 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue)
  • Pick a Pennant Stamp Set (new stamp set in 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue)
  • Bottles & Bubbles Framelits
  • Bubble Over Stamp Set

Stamparatus®

I used the new Stamparatus® to stamp the letters on the bunting. This tool made this really easy to to do. I was able to stamp the bunting in Lemon Lime Twist then I placed the letters one at a time and picked them up on the Stamperatus® Plate. I found doing it individually was the easiest way of doing this and it meant that all were positioned where I wanted them. This would be great if you were bulk making for a party or wedding. I used Tranquil Tide to stamp the letters.

Using Birthday Backgrounds

I love this set and I was lucky enough to get to free at On Stage in April. It has lots of lovely party shapes, candles, streamers, ribbon explosions, confetti. I randomly stamped these over some Whisper White in different colours, Tranquil Tide, Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist. I then used the Celebrate die and the numbers 5 & 0 to cut them out.

Finishing off the card

I cut a second celebrate and 50 with Lemon Lime Twist and stuck it like a shadow under the Birthday Background stamped die cuts. I used the Lemon Lime Twist and tied a bow to add some extra dimension to the card and give it some balance. I stuck the numbers on top of the ribbon.

Inside the card

I felt it was important to decorate the inside as this was such a special occasion.

Stampin' Up!® 50th Birthday card using Pick a Pennant & Stamperatus®

Stampin' Up!® 50th Birthday card using Pick a Pennant & Stamperatus®

I die cut a bottle from the stamped background to match the front accents and made a label using the sentiment from the Bubble Over stamp set and die cut it using the Bottles & Bubbles die set. I stamped a border around the mat in the bubbles. To complete the look I cut a bottle lit in Lemon Lime Twist.

Design Team Masking Project using Stampin' Up!® Products

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

Hi and welcome to my blog that is featuring the tutorial for the Design Team project from #stampinforall. The theme was masking. Click here to go to the group.

I had seen this type of masked background before and really wanted to give it a try. I didn't watch any tutorials I just got stuck in and had a go myself!

Nigezza Creates DT masking project #stampinforall

Stamp sets used

I used my most loved stamp set 'Butterfly Basics' for the focal point of this card. I used the masking technique to get the fern leaf behind the flower. I have done this many times so already had the flower fussy cut.

#toptip - keep your masks with the stamp sets to use again and again!

For the back ground I used 'Sheet Music'

I love this stamp and have used it on lots of cards, but never like this.

How I created the background

  • Video tutorial link is below, this is quite hard to explain by writing down!
  • I used lots of scraps of cardstock that really were destined for the bin!
  • Washy tape
  • I taped the scrap down on my base exposing a section I wanted to ink
  • I stamped the music
  • BEFORE removing the mask I got a sponge and distress inked the edges of what I had just stamped
  • I then covered this image up with another scrap and taped it down
  • I then moved the the original scrap to mask off another section I wanted to stamp
  • I needed to add quite a few scraps as I created more stamped sections
  • I kept going until the whole of the back ground was covered
  • I used Crumb Cake on Very Vanilla for this card
Nigezza Creates #stampinforall masking challenge

Stamping image

  • I stamped the image of the flower in Chocolate Chip
  • I them placed the mask of the flower over it and stamped the fern leaf in Mossy Meadow
  • I stamped the stripe and post mark in Blackberry Bliss
  • I am so glad to see these two colours back
  • I added the honeycomb image as well in Smokey Slate
  • I stamped the sentiment on Blackberry Bliss and added some fern around it in Mossy Meadow and some honeycomb in Smokey Slate around the sentiment
  • I used the Pretty Label Punch to cut it out
  • I wrapped some Linen Thread around the card
  • Distressed a doily with Crumb Cake and ripped if to add interest behind the sentiment
  • This was then mounted not a Chocolate Chip card blank
  • I added a Very Vanilla mat to the inside which I distressed with Crumb Cake around the edges and stamped the fern leaf on as well

Stampin For All Design Team Project: Masking

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

Nigezza Creates #stampinforall Design team Masking

Hi and welcome to my blog that is featuring the card I made for the Design Team project from #stampinforall. The theme was masking.

How I made this card

If you want to know how I made this card pop back tomorrow for full instructions and video tutorial. For now just enjoy all the creations by members of the #stampinforall Facebook group, it is a wonderful place to share and get inspiration.

Cards made by group members

#stampinforall masking DT project

This lovely card was made by Gwenn Crawford, she used a stencil and masked off the middle section then added the sentiment. I love how clean and simple this card has turned out. Simply Stunning.

#stampinforall masking DT project

#stampinforall masking DT project

These two beautiful cards were made by Elaine Spencer. She was really clever with this card because the second card was made using the masked section of the first. Its a BOGOF (buy one get one free) I love it!

#stampinforall masking DT project

This beautiful card was made by Karen McClure she used a floral die as a stencil and a super soft brush and wisteria wonder ink to create the background. So effective, I would never have thought to use a die in that way.

This lovely book mark was made using one of my favourite stamp sets, Waterfront. It looks like a mask was created using the Everyday Label punch and stamped through the aptitude, its really effective. Thank you Helen Chandler for this, I love it.

This stunning card was made by Valerie Litten. When I first saw it I assumed the harlequin background was the mask and the rest was stamps, but its actually 3 masks. Amazing.

Here is a second card made by Valerie Litten, I love it when a circle is used on a white card and sponged around to create a moon, its so effective. Lovely landscape card.

A late addition!

I just had to add this to the blog post :-)

Stampin For All Design Team Project: Masking

This card was made by Lorraine Turner, I just love it, lots of masking going on here to make it look like the animals are all standing together in a group. Amazing work there, wonderful colouring in as well, which is something I struggle with, mine usually looks like something I did in primary school!

Thank you everyone for joining in with this DT Challenge :-)

Looking forward to my June challenge, I hope you will join me again for that one.

See you soon

I send catalogues out FREE and usually arrive about a week before they go live so you can start writing your wish list. With each catalogue I will also send a hand made gift as well.

Gift Bag

  • I used the Gold Striped treat bag and gold embossed on some Very Vanilla using the Vertical Sayings.
  • I used the Triple banner Punch to flag the end
  • I folded it over the top of the bag and used a Library Clip to hold it in place
  • I tied some Gold Sequin Ribbon around that clip
  • Simple but still very nice.

Scraps Challenge Project using Stampin' Up!® Products for #stampinforall

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

Thank you for joining me today with a #stampinforall Design Team Challenge, using scraps. I am sure that I am not the only one who keeps all their scraps, pretty soon there are so many of them that you find a box for them and then you forget what's in it, then you have another box and another! lol

Well I have been meaning to do something with my huge paper scrap mountain so when I was asked to set the Wednesday Challenge over at #stampinforall I was delighted that the theme was scraps.

Nigezza Creates Scraps Challenge

What did I do?

  • I took a thin piece of A4 cardstock (standard 8 1/2" x 11" would also work)
  • I glued the scraps down butting all the edges together
  • You could overlap if you wanted to but my scraps were all strips
  • Once I had covered the card stock I trimmed the edges where the scraps had extended over the edge
  • Then I used the patchwork sheet as a single sheet of paper
  • I basically did a one sheet wonder
  • I created these 7 cards using different sized rectangles.
  • I just cut them up randomly as I was making it up as I went along, I love crafting like that!
  • I cut the first 2 rectangles by cutting 3" off the short end and cutting that strip in half
  • I matted it onto Whisper White with a 1/8" border
  • When I placed it on a card base with a sentiment that I had stamped onto Whisper White I felt it needed something behind it
  • I then remembered that I had some bigger strips and I layered them behind
  • I also added ribbons and glitter dots.

Supplies Used

  • Scraps from Floral Garden DSP
  • Card bases in Sweep Sugar Plum, Pool Party, Old Olive, Calypso Coral
  • Stamp sets, Stylised Birthday, Animal Outing, Happy Birthday Gorgeous, Lots of Happy card kit stamps, Flower Shop
  • Glitter dots and ribbon scraps
  • Leaf Punch, Daisy Punch, Stitched Framelits

Stampin' Up!® Fresh Florals Covered Notebook

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

Hi and welcome back for another Stampin' Up tutorial. Today I am using the stunning Fresh Floral Paper. I am really going to miss this paper but there are some equally stunning paper coming in the new catalogue.

I have made these note books for my new team members and to go out with the new catalogue. I thought a note book was a perfect gift to send as yo can write your wish list straight away, I may even send a pen as well!

If you would like a catalogue and live in the UK please let me know by filling in the contact form to the right of the blog and I will be very happy to send you one. If you have previously shopped with me then you should receive yours towards the end of May.

Stampin' Up!® Fresh Florals Covered Notebook

Measurements

To make a note book cover it does all depend on the original size of your note book. Here is how I came up with the measurements
  1. Measure the width of the notebook
  2. Measure the height of your notebook
  3. Measure the depth of your notebook
  4. Decide how much you with to over lap at the back
  5. Add measurements 2,3,4 together to give you the length of your cover
  6. So you need a base that is measurement 1 x measurement 5

My Notebook Measurements

  • Whisper White 2 15/16" x 9"
  • Score @ 8 1/4" fold over the back and burnish crease made
  • Lemon Lime Twist 2 5/8" x 7 7/8"
  • Fresh Florals DSP 2 3/8" x 7 5/8"
  • Everyday Label Punch
  • Stamp Sets 'Label to Love' and 'Ribbon of Courage'
  • Lemon Lime Twist Softly Woven Ribbon
