Stampin' Up!® Sweet Soiree Memories & More Card using the Stamparatus

I was so excited to receive my Stamparatus® from Stampin' Up©. I was lucky enough to be in the first window of preorder and it arrived at the end of February. I got it out of the box and just started creating. I had seen it at On Stage last November so knew all the features and tricks you can do with it. I really wanted to try the 'hinge step'. This is where you stamp an image then take the plate out and move it to the next notch and stamp again and repeat. You get an even spaced image along the paper which is very useful for lots of effects.

I used this technique to get an ombre effect with the Happy Birthday sentiment on a card from the Free Sweet Soiree Memories & More pack.

Sweet Soiree Memories & More card

Measurements and Supplies

  • Thick Whisper White cardstock 5 7/8 x 8 1/4, folded in half
  • One Memories & More card trimmed to 5 5.6 x 3 7/8
  • This is done by trimming 3/16 from each short end and 1/16 off each long end
  • By doing this the pattern is still central

Stamparatus ®

  • I set the stamp up on the Stamparatus® plate so it would stamp across the center of the Memories & More card
  • I practiced on a scrap first.
  • I stamped once in the centre
  • I moved the Stamparatus® plate along one notch
  • I stamped a second time without reining so the image was slightly lighter
  • I moved the Stamperatus® plate along another notch
  • I stamped a third time without reining so the image was slightly lighter
  • I then put the Stamperatus® plate back in the original place
  • I inked it again and stamped the first image again - it will be in exactly the same place
  • I moved the card down an inch because the plate will not move in the opposite direction
  • I stamped again without reining so the image was slightly lighter
  • I moved the card down another inch
  • I stamped again without reining so the image was slightly lighter
  • So there is an ombre effect in both directions

Finishing the card

  • Next I added the FREE Sale-A-Bration ribbon
  • I used the Calypso Coral and Basic Grey together layered to match the border on the card
  • I use double sided tape to sick them together and then t the Memories & More card
  • This was then stuck to the card base and buttons added to complete this card.
So why don't you now watch the video so you can see exactly how amazing the Stamparatas® is.

I hope you like this card, I am really pleased with the bore effect.
