Storage for Stampin' Up Ribbon shares

At the launch of every new Stampin' Up Catalogue I always take part in a ribbon share. It is a good way to get a sample of each ribbon which allows me to show use them in my tutorials and also lets me see what ones I would want to buy a hole reel of. But I have not been satisfied with how I store these 1m lengths of ribbon as I cannot see them readily and therefore do not use them. So I set about designing some storage for these ribbons which allows me to see them all.

This was a very quick project and I made 3 very easily and now all my ribbon is accessible and visible.

Measurements For Box

  • Extra Thick Whisper White 7 1/2 x 6 3/8
  • Score @ 1 3/4 on all 4 sides
  • Decorates sides:
  • 2 in Fresh Fig 3 3/4 c 1/12
  • 2 in Fresh Floral DSP 3 1/2 x 1 1/4
  • 2 in Fresh Fig 2 5/8 x 1 1/2
  • 2 in Fresh Florals 2 3/8 x 1 1/2

Measurements for Bobbins

  • Extra Thick Whisper White 2 x 2 3/4
  • Use the Envelope Punch Board
  • Punch a@ 2
  • Rotate punch @2
  • Repeat on other side
I used washy tape to hold ribbon on bobbin and wound it rounded secured again with washy tape.  Bobbins were then placed in the box and the box sits in my ribbon storage.

So now you have the measurements you can press play below and craft along with me :-)

I hope you liked this project and find it useful.

See you again tomorrow :-)

  1. Nigezza, Brillant design! Are you okay if I CASE? I have some ribbon shares myself that need a new home.

    1. Absolutely that is the point of doing tutorials so hopefully other people will make them too :-) I would love to see yours when it is done. If you are sharing online anywhere I just ask if I can be credited thats all :-)
I am thrilled you like it that much - Gez x
