I wanted to show that a Christmas Stamp set was not just for Christmas! A lot of people are doing eclipse cards at the moment, I decided to do this for my sons birthday card, as I do not have the large letter dies yet I had to do the year he was born rather than his name. I am very pleased with how the card turned out, although not accepting of having a child who is 26!
The card base is a standard card base A4 cut in half folded I half, this makes a C6 card 5 7/8th x 4 1/8th - this was done using Night of Navy
I cut a mat 1/4 inch smaller on both sides - 5 5/8th x 3 7/8th - - this was done using Whisper White
I used the candles from the Merry Patterns stamp set and stamped a row of candles. |
The Large Number dies were then laid in place and cut out using the Big Shot |
This was then stuck to my card base |
To line up the centres I placed the number back in their place and the stuck the centre down |
Once stuck the number were removed and therefore I knew the centres were in the correct place. |
Mini dimensionals were punt on the back of each number and they were stuck onto the card. |
When sticking down ensure that they are lined up correctly to give that eclipse effect. |
I am really pleased with how this card turned out and am now off to do the same thing for my brother! |
