Stampin Ups Decorated Pizza Box

I really liked the mini pizza boxes when I first saw them in the catalogue and the fact that they hold 3x3 cards is a bonus and the fact that we now have envelopes for this size card is just the icing on the cake.

I made my cards, I did 6 for this box and then decorated the box in a similar fashion to the cards.  If you would like to see a tutorial on making the cards I will do one so let me know win the comments.

I chose the card I liked best and copied this for the lid.  I have used Fresh Fig cardstock and Fresh Florals DSP in the same colour. I have also used the Diasy stamp set and punch as well as the Stitched Framelits.

For the lid and the inside of the lid I needed:

2x Fresh Fig cardstock measuring 3 1/4 x 3/14
2x Fresh florals DSP measuring 3 x 3
2x Second to largest Stitched circle die to cut a circle in Fresh Fig cardstock.

The inside was decorated with a stamped saying, I used the Painted Harvest set for this.
Once stamped onto Whisper White this was then cut out using the Starburst punch and all glued together.

For the outside f the box I stamped 2 daisy's onto whisper white and then punched them out, I also stamp the flower centre and punched out. The petals were curled and then assembled and popped up on dimensionals.

For the side panels I cut 4 rectangles in Fresh Fig and 4 in Fresh Florals DSP which were stuck on using TomBow.
4x Fresh Fig 3 1/4 x 3/4
4 x Fresh Florals 3 x 1/2

Thanks for joining me today, remember to comment if you would like to see how to make the cards.

Cheers for now

Stampin Up Paisleys & Posies Card

I really love this set and haven't used it for ages. I needed to make a thank you card so thought this would do the trick. As with most of my cards I used a standard size card base in Sweet Sugar Plum (5 7/8th x 4 1/8th) half of A4 cut in half and scored in half. I then cut a layer in Whisper White 5 5/8th x 3 7/8th for the mat and another for the inside panel.

I cut 2 shapes out of the mat layer.

On 3 scraps of Sweet Sugar Plum, Berry Burst and Fresh Fig, I stamped the shapes that corresponded to the die cut outs on the mat.

These were then glued in place, I used a wet glue so I had some wigglege!

I then cut the intricate die shapes out of the same colours and positioned them in the opposite side to the stamped shapes.
I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of Whisper White and used the Triple Banner punch to  shape it, I then sponged the edges with Berry Burst. I also sponged the entire mat as well.

I added dimensionals to the back of the mat to give it some pop.
To finish off I stamped the inner layer, I really like doing this  as it makes the card extra special.

I love how it turned out, I love this colour combination, tell me what colour combination you like I love to know :-)

Thank you for joining me today, it would be lovely to her your thought on this card or what your favourite colour combinations are.

See you soon

Gothic card using Stampin Up Swirly Snowflakes

When I first saw the snowflake border die in the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits Dies I saw a lacy border. I knew that this would have loads of possibilities so knew that it would not be just for Christmas. Over at Simply Stylish Stampers we have a team challenge this month (set by me the winner of the previous months challenge) which is to make non Christmas projects out of Christmas Dies, stamps and papers.  This is one of my entries.

I made this card for my youngest son to give to his flatmate for their birthday, he told me she was into vampires and gothic things, which is useful for a Stamping Up Demo ...not! He did say he doubted if I had any vampire stamps - he was not wrong there! I was impressed that he did have some concept of what I use to create my cards, unlike my sister who often asks the impossible!

I remember the Swirly Snowflakes border and put my thinking cap on and came up with this gatefold card that looks like a Basque.

The card base is a standard size (half a sheet of A4 (5 7/8th x 8 1/4)) but instead of scoring in half I scored at 2 1/16th on both short sides, then folded and burnished them so they met in the middle perfectly. To get this measurement I used the Stamping Up Trimmer because that allows you to score at such a small increment.

I then used the Snowflake outline border to cut each edge of the gate fold

This die gives you a really nice lace effect for the Basque.
I then stamped onto of this section to give it a lace overlay look.  I used the long lace stamp from  Touches of Texture
I distressed the Fresh Floral DSP (5 7/8th x 4) with black distress ink and stuck to the inside of the card.  The black snowflake border was stuck to front of card.
Using the circle punch I cut a curve on side of card - I followed the pattern of the lace to give the impression of a waistline.
The pattern of the border does give a line to follow.
I then stamped a scrap with the Lacy stamp as I did for the front, allowed this to dry before stamping again with the happy birthday sentiment from the Label Me Pretty stamp set which I heat embossed.  I then cut the babel out using the corresponding punch and layered this onto of a black label punched with the Pretty Label punch
Holes were punched in the front of each side of the Basque and ribbon was threaded through and tied in a bow. The sentiment was adhered using dimensionals and the whole card front was stuck onto the single layer base that was scored at 3/4 from the top creating a portrait style folded card.

I did get feedback from my son to say his friend loved the card :-)

I hope you like it and give it a try.  I would really love to see your makes.  Bye for now,

Embossing Team Challenge

Team Embossing Challenge

In September my Up Line Crafty Caroline Creates set the team a challenge, we had to make things using embossing.  We could do dry embossing or heat embossing.  The prize was the Large Letter Framlits and matching Letter Stamp set, I really wanted that prize and set about creating lots of projects. I have shared them as tutorials but wanted to put them all together here.  I am also delighted to announce that I won the challenge.  Each project you posted was an entry into the draw and the winner was selected at random.  So the more entries the higher the chance of being pulled out of the hat.  I went embossing mad!

I had bought the Winter Wonder Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, but not yet played with it and I had not used embossing powder for well over a year so it was nice to have the excuse to play with them. I had also bought from the clearance rack some Emerald Envy Glitter Embossing Powder. I had some Clear Embossing Powder ad some Silver Embossing powder already and had seen tutorials on how you could emboss with Stamping Up inks.

So here are the projects I made, I hope you like them and they inspire you to go creating on a Sunday :-)

Snowflake Card and Mini Milk Carton - Tutorials are on my YouTube Channel

I love this little Reindeer
Really like the glitter powder it really does glitter but the picture does not do it justice.
This project combined heat embossing and dry embossing :-)
I just love the simplicity of this card, the embossing folder is stunning enough on its own.
Easy to 'step up' a card and make it a bit more wow!
After seeing how amazing the snowflake looked I just had to make a cube box with it.
Then I experimented with using vellum and this stunning box was born - this may just be my favourite :-)
For these little boxes I embossed onto cardstock to make my own Foil Frenzy DSP.
I heat embossed some Christmas Tags
With this card I heat embossed the sentiment and balloon on the inside.
Love the Brick Wall embossing folder.
I used the glitter powder again on the word season. Love this Christmas jumper style card.
This card is simply stunning, used both heat and dry embossing, love the snowflake in the background.
Love how this vellum pillow box looks.
Love this wedding card, I heat embossed the rose, another stamp set I won in a team challenge, cut believe I have been so lucky!
I think the snowflake embossing folder works better but its good to experiment. Glitter embossing powder also used on the sentiment.
There are separate blog posts and video tutorials for most of these projects so please check them out if you are inspired to make any.  If you do make some please send me a picture I would live to see what you have done.

Thanks and happy Sunday crafting :-)

Cheers
