Mr Baker style gift bag

This cute little gift bag was inspired by a well known designer - can you guess who?!

I used the soon to be retired papers Petals and Paisleys, there are some really lovely paper in this pack and it is currently reduced (£4.70) on the clearance rack and more bargains on the retiring list, you only have 3 days left to buy it.  So why not visit my shop to bag yourself some bargains. My Shop

I chose the Rich Razzle Berry patterned paper and card stock for the bow and some matching ribbon

To make this bag I cut a piece of paper 9 1/2 x 5 1/2
I scored on the long side at 1 1/2 - 4 1/2 - 6 - 9
I scored on the short side at 1 1/2

I used the Bow Builder Punch to make the signature bow for the bag.

I think this is really cute and when I showed my students they all loved it too so guess I will be making lots of these for their leaving presents!

Cheerful Tags

Watch my latest tutorial

There are so many bargains to be had at the moment. There is the retirement list as well as the clearance rack. The retirement list is only available until 31st May 2017 so you have to be quick.

I wanted this set when I first saw it in the Christmas catalogue but was just too expensive, well now its HALF PRICE! What a bargain, £14 and not just for Christmas as I have demonstrated. There are lots of elements in this set that make it suitable for all occasions and you can match your card.

I was making thank you gifts for my customers and decided to match the ribbon I was gifting to the tag.  I think it makes the gift extra special.  I then looked around my craft room for more inspiration.  The Maoam sweets match Night of Navy and Smokey Slate really well and is such a nice little thinking of you gift for my son who is revising for his University first year exams.

I then decided to make a wedding tag to match the card I'd made for an up and coming wedding I am going to.

I think you will agree the results are stunning.

The tags are really quick and easy to make, just run through your die cutting machine, fold and decorate with the elements included in the set.

When ordering don't forget to use the hostess code UXMEQVDW so I can get more stamping rewards for you free as a thank you.  remember that in May if you place an order of £45 of more I will be sending you an extra thank you gift from my large stash of brand new retired products. Go on grab yourself a bargain now! Shop here!

One Sheet Wonder

Watch the One Sheet Wonder Video Here

I decided to do a one sheet wonder with the Petals and Paisleys DSP as they were retiring soon and all I'd done was stroke them! lol

So using this template I finally cut into the beautiful paper - it was a bit painful!

All I added were some card bases in Very Vanilla and some card stock in the colours in this DSP, I used Night of Navy, Rich Razzle Berry and Mint Macaroon.

After making these cards I then decided to do the same with the Eastern Promise DSP to make sure it does not take me a year to use this beautiful paper!

I did not cut the small squares this time instead I cut 4 rectangles 3inches long.

In the video I show you how I made some of the cards, they are pretty straight forward so I have included pictures here so you can see what I did.

Basic Butterfly Card

Video Tutorial here!

I first made this card in the in colours of a few years ago, Blackberry Bliss and Mossy Meadow.  I have recreated them in the new in colours that are released in the new catalogue on June 1st 2017, Fresh Fig (my new favourite) and Tranquil Tide.

Supplies required for this card are:
Extra thick Whisper White for card base.  Half an A4 sheet scored in half.
Fresh Fig mat 5 5/8 x 3 7/8
Whisper White mat 5 3/8 x 3 5/8
Fresh Fig and Tranquil Tide panel each 5 1/8 x 1 1/2
Stamp pads used Fresh Fig, Tranquil Tide and Whisper White
Stamp sets Basic Butterfly and Teeny Tiny Sentiments

Remember when stamping with Whisper White that it is pigment ink so takes longer to dry.

Panels were stamped:
Tranquil Tide panel was stamped with fern stamp in Tranquil Tides ink.
Fresh Rig panel was stamped with the flower stem stamp and Whisper White ink

Sentiment stamped on a Whisper White scrap with Fresh Fig using a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments (you can use what ever you like)

Panels stuck to Whisper White mat, this was stuck to Fresh Fig panel ad this was stuck to card base - simples!

I like to stamp on the inside of the card and also the envelop to make it look a bit extra special :-)

For any of the supplies to make this project please visit my shop.

Why not try it in different colours or different stamps.

Decorative tea light lamps

Watch my latest tutorial by clicking here!

A few weeks ago I visited Cambridge, been there before but not for decades so had forgotten how lovely the place was.  I really enjoyed looking in the lovely shops full of home décor things, you know the type I mean, wicker hearts and cream bird cages!  Well I saw these lamps, they were made from parchment and had decorative holes in them and a small light.  It gave me the inspiration for this project. I remembered I had ordered some Stampin Up Vellum in my last order and that is was cardstock weight so I thought I could create a smaller version designed for a tea light.  Obviously being made of paper these are the little battery tea lights!

The supplies are very minimal:
A4 piece of Vellum cut in half
1/4 of a piece of Whisper White card stock
Stylish Stems die set.

The Stylish Stems die set is on the retiring list and only available until May 31st 2017, it is also reduced to an absolute bargain. Shop here!

I scored half an inch on each of the short sides - be careful not to press too hard it is easy to score right through the velum, I did this a few times but cut it out of the video!

Remember to use your bine folder to give the vellum a curl - this is so it forms a nice curve when assembled.

Using the dies cut the flowers in a random pattern.

The scored lines were creased and then stuck to the Whisper white card stock on the back so this would not be seen.

Now all you need is a battery operated tea light - I got my from the Pound shop - 4 for £1

Voila!

Gift box for Note Cards

Check out my Youtube tutorial!

After making the set of 4 note cards I decided to make a box to put them in!  I used the envelop punch board to do this.  The cards a roughly 3x4 so I used the measurement on the board for 3x4 cards (2 5/8) which said use 6x6 paper for the envelop (I made these as well)  As I was making a box I added 1 inch to this so used some card stock measuring 7x7, I used the same initial punch and score point and then moved along an inch (3 5/8) and punched and scored again to give me the depth of my box. I then used the 2 score lines to guide me where I needed to punch and score on the other 3 sides.

Your box should  look like this!

The belly band was the width of A4 cut at 2 inches. The sentiment was mounted on a stitched framelit circle - I used the second biggest one.

I love the envelope punch board - so versatile, you can make envelopes of course but also box's and bows, it even has a corner rounder included! Bargain at £18.00.  Check out my shop to get your hands on one!

Thanks for looking :-)

Note Cards using Cupcakes and Carousels from Stampin Up

Here is my latest tutorial on YouTube.

I wanted to make some note cards like I have done before but did not want to do 3x3 cards so I decided to see what 4 note cards from a piece of A4 paper would look like and I like the result.  If you are not in UK then the standard size paper from your country would still work I am sure.

So here is what I used to make 4 little note cards:
Half a sheet of A4 in Mint Macaroon and half a sheet of A4 in Island Indigo for the card blanks.
Each card blank measures 5 7/8th x 4 1/8th (inches)
Each was scored at 2 15/16th (using the Stampin Up trimmer makes it easy to score this precisely)

Then I cut 6 mats in Very Vanilla card stock - 3 7/8th x 2 11/16th
This will give you 4 mats for the inserts and 2 for the card front.
Then I cut 2 mats in Island Indigo - 3 7/8th x 2 11/16th
I also cut 2 strips in Island Indigo - 2 11/16th x 1/4 inch
I also needed 2 scraps of Very Vanilla to stamp the heart on.
then out of a sheet of DSP from Cupcakes and Carousels I cut 2 mats 3 5/8th x 2 7/16th
Out of a different sheet from DSP pad I cut 2 squares 2 1/8th x 2 1/8th

The stamp set I used was You're So Sweet and I also used the corresponding die set Mini Treat Bag Thinlits.

I also made a gift box for the cards and some envelopes.  I will post details of this with the video tutorial.  So call back later in the week :-)
